Due to a water leak, residents on Washington Street, Line Street, Main Street, and potentially other surrounding streets will be without water temporarily as repairs are completed. Once water is restored in case of any discoloration run faucets throughout your residence on cold for 10-15 minutes to help flush discoloration out of your lines.

If you notice a loss of pressure in your water today it is due to water hydrant flushing. City of Dyer Water Department discolored water is treated and safe to drink. Flushing lowers the tank, stirring manganese. The City of Dyer is aware of the brown/discolored water reported today, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and concern this has coaused.
Please flush your lines in your tub by using only cold water and let run for about 10 minutes.
